The Fuma clan (ふうま一族, Fūma Ichizoku) is a shinobi clan from the Land of the Rice Fields, where Orochimaru established the Land of Sound. Some of their most powerful members were tricked by Orochimaru, who promised to restore their clan status, and were used in his kinjutsu development experiments. This clan appears only in the anime storyline, not in the manga.

Clan History:
Years previously Orochimaru came to the Rice Field Country to establish Hidden Sound. The Fuuma clan had been in rough times since a previous war with the Gold and Silver Country. Many of the Fuuma Clan shinobi thus decided to volunteer and join Orochimaru's new army on the promise he could make their clan powerful once again. Even though a percentage of this clan, had joined the Village Hidden in the Sound, some did go to other countries to get away from Orochimaru, but some stayed. One part of the clan was called the Main Branch and the Resort Branch, similar to the Hyuga, but if you were born on the Resort Branch, you didn’t know when you would die or if someone needed you to do something for them. The Resort Branch was sort of like pawns protecting their queen. But the clan began to break apart. The Resort Branch had been secretly plotting against the Main Branch, to overthrow them and change the laws of there clan, but it didn’t go as planned. Most of the Resort Branch was killed in the process. There were only handfuls that were left in the village and they had left. They are now a bunch of travelers that go around and try to find a suitable place for them to live.

Clan Information:
The Fuuma clan is still a powerful group of shinobi, but they are not usually the ones to resort to fighting unless they have to. They like to go around and learn about the other villages and scout the countries. They are great Medical Ninja, so if there is help needed somewhere and they happen to be around they help out. Since there are two branches to this clan, it is kind of evened out, there are about fifty more Main Branch Members and about only a eighteen in the Resort Branch. This clan’s highest values are to go somewhere they are wanted, this is mostly for the Resort Branch. The Main Branch wants to become more powerful. They consider power to be good and being recognized good. They consider fighting with other clan members are evil and being excluded from others. The most important members of the Fuuma Clan are the Koto Princess, Sasame Fuuma and Arashi Fuuma. They are the highest of the Fuuma Clan and most talented. Arashi came up with the rules and branches and the Koto Princess is next in line. Sasame Fuuma is the Leader of the Resort Branch she also left because of Orochimaru and his plans. Sasame is Zhao’s aunt.

Clan's Secret Techniques or Bloodline traits:
The Fuuma Clan’s Secret Technique is different from most, theirs is special. They are able to able to use Chakra Threads and connect them from the user’s heart to the targets. In other words Chakra Threads is a secret Ninjutsu technique of the Fuuma Clan. The ninja will create threads of chakra which will start at their heart's chakra circulatory system and extend outwards. These threads can then be wound around their opponents body and internal organs. This essentially will tie their two hearts together and make them become one. Once fully in sync, the ninja's chakra circulatory system can control their opponents system, so if the ninja dies, their opponent dies as well.They can be used for more things too.

The threads themselves are not easily cut by normal means, only a special Fuuma clan tag can cut the strings. There are more versions but this is the main one
